cuz the RI team was inside the classroom debating, and we could only enter the classroom to start our debate AFTER they finish, so we stood outside listening, and since the windows were crowded, hannah and I stood at the door thing - RI WON. DUH - and when they opened the door hor, it was the 3rd speaker from RI. and if you had read my previous post, he is really.. er.. patient la.. but i never added.. he's abit.. girly.. AHEM *gay*

like he opened the door, and it OBVIOUSLY banged into us, normal people would : er.. sorry.

back to OUR debate.
I REALLY THOUGHT OUR TEAM SHOULD HAVE WON D:

even the older members agreed that they were really good this time.
and plus the other team hor.. their 1st speaker was pretty okay la. their 3rd speaker was the only guy in their team, and he was really agressive, pacing behind the table, using a strong persuasive voice, and even banging the table every now and then :D no wonder he won the best speaker prize.

BUT BUT BUT.
I DONT LIKE THEIR 2nd speaker.
she totally contradicted herself, and plus she wasnt making sense.
she was supposed to support the making of parenting courses compulsory right?
then she go and say : "compulsory parenting courses should be made compulsory because they have elective courses where parents can choose whether or not to attend."
HELLO? if the parent chooses NOT to attend everything, then wouldnt that make the parenting courses OPTIONAL?

and also, she said that since the courses are conducted in the pre-marital stage, the child would NOT be unreceptive to the methods used to teach them, or something like that.
EVEN IF you conduct the courses BEFORE the child is born, it has NOTHING to do with whether the child is receptive or not. = =

i couldnt be bothered to take much notes for her part of the speech, cuz she kept talking crap, so that would just be a waste of my ink and paper.

xD i took like 7 sides worth of fullscap. more than usual for THE arena.
AND HOR the other school - xin min - 's students took REALLY NEAT notes in notebooks, and the notebooks arnt even A4 size, and they only took like 2 sides worth.. ><
but they all took in point form :D

some of their supporters =X kept nodding their head when their team was talking.. one of them even had his mouth open the whole time he was nodding =X and he looked REALLY dumb.. hannah, the sec 3 next to me, and I had to stifle our giggles everytime we looked back.. xD

mr toh said that this yr if the sec 2 - 14s - debate competition didnt clash with our MYAs, like last year, then he would put the sec2s through intensive training and send a team. :D YAY! IM SO EXCITED!
so sad we have so little sec 3s.. so when our sec 4s graduate.. our new team might not be as strong D:
