i've been slacking alot these days :O and am currently doing extensive research on geog examples.
aint sure whether other country's examples can be used since the teacher said that its better to focus on the amazon case study, so i shall just go search for Brazilian stuff.

anyways. my dad keeps saying that i should blog about *COUGH COUGH* interesting things like reviews and stuff.. URGH. so yeah. i cannot imagine myself writing reviews. urgh. but i will write nice things about nice stuff la.

It's PRETTY okay la. Still thing that the nice songs would be limited to "Your Call". My ultimate favourite.

The whole album echoes with the usual guitar strumming and serenading (DUH) in the last album. But somehow or other they added more fullness with something that vaguely tells me it's orchestral, drums and all.

Fall for you is my favourite, from the first beat to the last. No wonder it's the single. :D But somehow or other it rings of a lingering bit of Vulnerable. O.O Maybe it's the repetitive use of the words "YOU" in ALL of their songs. ._."

I adore the use of the heartbeat sounding part in A Twist In My Story. It sounds really cool and new, together with the thunder-rolling sound from the background "orchestra". Stay Close, Don't Go is a nice attempt at something less strummy and i kinda like it after 3 or 4 times of listening to it.

The lyrics are mostly the emotional, wear-your-heart-on-your-sleeve kind, the "what i feel when i see you kind".

Cant describe anymore, shall go listen to it more :D but i warn you, it will get boring really quickly, it doesnt have the magic of utada hikaru's slow songs.

Here's Miley Cyrus new SELF MADE album Breakout.
Let's use the advertising method to analyze the cover first. ;D to prac for eng oral.

Essentially there's the rock-star-ish look with the mike and the raising hand thing. Also there's a play with nice colours instead of the usually punk rock black, which i pretty much appreciate. I have no idea whether the star above breakout is intentionally looking like converse's one, but who cares.

The word breakout is small too D: but another play on words? Just dont like that they used the same category of fonts for both the album title and miley's name.. or it looks like it.
Overall without the black glove and raised right hand + mike, one would think its not really rocky inside. but the songs are OKAY. Not good but OKAY.

On first trial of hearing, See You Again is by far the BEST song in the album. At first when i heard Fly on the wall, i thought it was the main song >.< style="font-style: italic;">men(bored) of, for me, everytime i create a playlist with this album, i would delete wake up america, it grates on the nerves after awhile, especially if you use an ipod. (ipod joke will be explained in the next post) :D

I don't know if im being biased towards them because i absolutely love their cover, songs, and everything else.

Their songs are KIND OF the same as the last album, the same style and singing, the same careless as well as interesting song titles / lyrics. The whole rock thing doesn't grow old for me, especially for their last album's Curse Of The Curves.

Absolutely adore Navigate Me, besides the fact that the first time i heard it, the only reason that it attracted my attention was because it sounded so UN-them, and also that i heard the words navigate me wrongly.. (dont ask what i heard instead.)

All their songs are good (AGAIN) in this album, and i've been listening to them the last 2 weeks, still AM NOT BORED :D. The only track that i remotely dislike would be Time, it isn't very nice, i dont know why i dont like it, i just DONT. (okay, actually i dont like it because its slow in a dreamy way, but not nice like navigate me)

I can't describe the nice-ness of the songs, they are all the same style, but different too!

Here is my ranking for the songs:

5. Hollywood

Oh ya. Practice Makes Perfect would be a new equivalent of the witty "Curse Of The Curves".

If you like slightly risque songs, i think this album wouldnt really appeal unless you heard the first one: "The Same Old Blood Rush With A New Touch"

Haha. Oh, and i've been watching this anime called Ef: A tale of memories, due to the fact that i read it on SOMEONE'S blog. And contrary to what that person said, it's not really slow, its just confusing and kinda touching. but i dont really like the confusion at the first part, it made me kinda want to give up until i reached the 3rd / 4th episode and began to understand and thus get interested. I shall write about it another day. ;P it's good though.
